Meet the teacher

This is the website of Debbie Shelton
Hi! I am Debbie Shelton. I have been teaching multi-age at Las Brisas for the past eight years. Before that I taught first grade or second grade at Las Brisas, Desert Sage, New River Elementary, Mirage Elementary and I taught Kindergarten at Village Meadows. These schools are all in the Deer Valley District. Prior to that I taught preschool at Trinity United Methodist Preschool, Kindergarten at Desert Horizon Elementary in the Pendergast School District and first grade at Pendergast Elementary School. Oh, and even before that I taught first grade at Alta Vista Elementary in Clarksburg, West Virginia! Whew! As you see, I have been around a long time. I am a graduate of Clarion State University of Pennsylvania, and Central High School of York, PA. Prior to that I lived in Monticello, Indiana and Mequon, Wisconsin. I love teaching and learning! Multi age students teach me a lot! My enthusiasm shows in the way I involve students in their own learning, and support their quest to become responsible learners and citizens. I encourage parents to become involved in their children's education through homework and as volunteers in our classroom.
